Faith Chinese North American Baptist Church (FCNABC) is inviting applications for a full-time staff position in the English Ministry. The successful candidate will be appointed to one of the following roles based on qualifications and experience:
- Minister of English Congregation
- Ministerial Internship (English)
Job Description:
- Develop and strengthen the English ministry of the Church in the Metro Vancouver area under the guidance and supervision of the Senior Pastor.
- Deliver sermons and teachings during Sunday worship, Sunday School, and outreach events as directed by the pastoral team.
- Recruit, train, and support adult staff volunteers.
- Provide discipleship and leadership training to youth leaders, and equip the steward team to assist in all aspects of the English ministry.
- Encourage, educate, and build relationships with parents of teenagers.
- Offer counselling and visitation to youth.
Applicant Qualifications:
- Embrace the “The Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy” and recognize that Biblical Inerrancy demonstrates God’s mighty works through His Holy Spirit in His churches today.
- Affirm that “The Baptist Confession of Faith (1689)” express biblical truth in the clearest and most systematic way.
- Acknowledge and practice FCNABC’s “Confession of Faith” (see linkage) as the one’s own present vision.
- Wholeheartedly commit to the ministry philosophy and programs of the church.
- Demonstrate the capacity for leadership by providing clear vision and direction to the English congregation.
- Exhibit strong leadership skills coupled with a submissive and servant heart toward God and people.
- Be fluent in English and comfortable in a Chinese-speaking environment.
- Display a passion for East Asian students and familiarity with East Asian cultures.
- Hold a degree from a Bible College or Seminary school, or possess equivalent training.
